Blogger question

Does anyone know how to relocate type on the line? For example, the poem 'Soliloquy of Slumber' is not supposed to have the dots on each line. The characters are supposed to hang on the lines, like they are falling asleep. I couldn't get the post to work, it kept aligning them on the left. I don't want left, right or center alignment. I want the letters to hang. How do I do that?

Have you tried "break" tags? If not that may do it.

If I only knew what that meant, then I could answer the question, lol. I'm not very tech-y. I will look into it, I am sure I haven't tried it.

The break is a < then a "br"(without quotes) and another >

See if that helps.

I tried it, it caused the text to skip a line, didn't place it in a 'strange' spot on the line. I used the tab function, that didn't work either. Now that I have a clue, maybe I will look up html tags to see if I can find the right one. Thanks for giving me a clue, lol.

Hello,

I think what you wish to do is to replace the dots in your poem by spaces so each word on the next line starts where the last word on the current line ends.

Like this:
you
   've
      come
         t
           o
             m
                e

Solution : Instead of dots(.) in your poem use (Ampersand-N-B-S-P-semicolon) multiple times to align the words.

In HTML, space is ignored, so how many ever spaces you type - the words will get aligned to the left. To display a single space, you have to use

Hope that helps.
