Book Blogger Hop

This week we are supposed to highlight blogs we love. Well there are just so many! I recently spotlighted Indigo Impression a sweet blogger who really ought to post more often, and MaryBennett who is a favorite for her writing and reviews. I often mention Happy Hearts at Home who is a favorite for all her useful links and information, especially about homeschooling on a budget. Other favorites, far from a complete list and in no particular order:
Moderate Means: Budget tips, frugal living, living with diabetes, etc.
Catholic Mothers Online: A blog where you can meet other Catholic Mothers who blog. I write for this blog, my first post will be appearing at the end of the month.
The House on Lavender Hill: Someone I know in real life, who has a beautiful family, can always make me laugh, and who has a lovely home which is highlighted on her blog.
Pen and Paper: A very funny Brit, who has a witty blog, and never ceases to entertain, amuse and surprise.
Living It Up in Bankrupt California:A very talented artist and blogger, married to another very talented artist, with a couple of beautiful girls!
Free Spirit Haven: A real prayer warrior who is a bargain hunter as well!
Crochet Me Crazy: Someone who is talented in all areas of her life. I really admire this blogger!
Brocante Home: A blog I have followed for years for everything housekeeping and lovely!

How Many Books?

How many books do you have on your "To be read" shelf?

Well, I have more than one shelf, more than one nook, more than one tabletop, more than one windowsill. All of which are filled with books to be read. It would number into the hundreds. But my "next up" books number approximately 15. These are the ones I will get to soon, very, very soon.

This post is linked to the blogger hop, all of you hoppers...WELCOME!!

Book Blogger Hop

My favorite new-to-me author this week is Beth Fantaskey. Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Darkside was her debut novel, and she surprised me with both the plot and the quality of her writing. She has recently released Jekel loves Hyde, and there is a sequel to Jessica's Guide upcoming. She writes YA, and she is adorable in her pics. In her list of facts about herself she says she has been fired once, and she is the mother of two children, both five years old, who are not twins.

This week I finished both Beth Fantaskey's book, and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

Welcome to the hop! Go check out the new rules on Crazy For Books. Thanks for stopping by.

Joining the hop again this week over at Crazy for Books! Click on the link and check out how to play along!
This week's question is what book are you just dying to get your hands on?
Any of the classics I haven't read (which, of course, are numerous given the number out there!) but I suppose I would have to say the next Flavia de Luce mystery, since I just finished reading the first one.

Book Blogger Hop

Sign up here. I love this week's twist which Jennifer from Crazy For Books threw in there...

Tell us your NAME and WHY YOU STARTED BLOGGING

My name is Lily and I started blogging when my friend Mary, over at Against All Heresies, suggested I start a blog to keep record of my writing. She was so encouraging to me. I've gotten a bit away from the original purpose of my blog, as life got in the way. Instead of spending my leisure time writing, I spend more time studying and working. I almost let my blog grow cold and idle, until Sweet Mary over at Mary Bennett prompted me earlier this year to write again. Despite my overcrowded schedule I still read quite a bit, so I'm more of a book blog, with some of life mixed in. Thanks for stopping by the hop and I cannot wait to read what started everyone else blogging!!

Book Blogger Hop

I'm joining this for the first time this week, so I'm going to post the information about the hop today. If you are here for the hop, please leave a comment so I can go and visit your blog too! Here are the rules, as posted on Crazy for Books:

ABOUT THE HOP:

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!

The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get nearly 200 links every week!!

Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.

If you start following someone through the Hop, leave a comment on their blog to let them know! Stop back during the week to see other blogs that are added! And, most importantly, the idea is to HAVE FUN!!

DISCLAIMER:
The Hop isn't just for you to throw your link in there and not visit any other blogs. It's all about networking and finding new blogs that are of interest. So, in the spirit of the Hop, try to make some time to visit other blogs and don't post your link if you are not planning on visiting other blogs in the Hop that week. This is a weekly event, so if you don't have time this week, that's fine! We'll see you next week!
