Over My Head!!

Uh-oh! In my zeal to get organized for Back-to Homeschool, I got in over my head...we have sorting projects in 6 of our 15 rooms...WHAT A MESS!!!

Back to work! We are in the throes of "must get worse before it gets better" and it is not fun!!!

15 rooms???? Close the six doors and live in the other nine until you've had enough chocolate to feel calm again! LOL!!! When do you begin again? We start Monday.

Jan,
Thank you! I have been homeschooling for 14 years and I go through this every year. This is probably the worst year in a long while. I've been taking on a big "purge" project so literally everything is atip. Thanks for stopping by :)

Mary,
I have no idea when I will be ready. Monday would be nice, but seems unlikely. I will shoot for the 6th. I think I can make that. I used to start on Sept. 1 every year. That may be a possibility as well. I have started as late as October at least twice in 14 years. We'll see.

We are doing the same - purging, painting, etc. It's a lot of work, but feels so good to get rid of stuff, and get clean and tidy before school begins. Bring on the trash bags! ;) I've got a nice load for Goodwill started in my trunk.

That is exactly why I do it, Alexandra! We find lost/forgotten things, get everything clean and pretty before starting, put a fresh face on things. Everyone is getting excited now.

I went much, much bigger this year with the purge and organize, actually relocating much of my materials to another part of the house. Last year was a tough year with my husband laid off, and I worked too many hours. I felt it was our worst year in our homeschool history. I wanted a clean slate to put our new system into place.

This homeschool vet is going to pull out a new bag of tricks this year!!
