Lily Live

Hello, I'm at a podcasting seminar today, and I'm broadcasting my class project! This is an elementary podcast, but I'm very proud of it. I learned how to edit and add in a musical intro which fades into my dialog, and then resurges again at the end! Enjoy my class project!!

Darn! I can't listen to it now because dh is using the puter speakers to listen to music while he paints the front entry! But, regardless, I am soo proud of you! Good for you! What equipment was needed to do it? Will you do it again?
HOORAH!!!! FOR LILY!!!!!!

Aw thanks, Mary!! The seminar was so much fun!! No special equipment, just a cheapo $10 headset with a microphone used with a free, downloadable program. We learned how to navigate the program, edit out "um", pauses, coughs, etc. and then lead in with music or add sound effects. It was so much fun!! I may do podcasts as things come up. I don't want to forget how to use the technology :).

Oh, where is the program if you don't mind? Is there a program online to teach me? It sounds like a skill I'd like to have, you lucky duck! :)

Did you give a listen? It is sort of a silly podcast, but it was great fun to learn how to do it. I went to the seminar with the library, so it was free for me! In fact, I was paid to go!! Yay!! The library system received a grant for a fabulous project which I will probably write about when we get working on it. Podcasting was a need-to-know skill for us, in order to fulfill the grant requirements! If you want, email me your snail mail address again, and I will send you copies of my seminar materials. Meanwhile, the software is free to download. The program is called Audacity, and you can find it at Sourceforge.net.
