Making Your Home a Haven

So much more than prettiness and decluttering, homes need peace. Your home should be a haven of happiness, and for the most part, I think it is. I think everyone enjoys being home, and finds it relatively stress free. But then there are those days...

See the post Women Living Well put up, and join the linky if you want to take the challenge. She describes two types of women, and challenges you to make your home more of a haven. It is so easy. She suggests getting a large candle, and every time you notice it flickering, you should pray for peace in your home, and pray for you to be the best you can be. What a fabulous way to remember to pray without ceasing!

Are you in?

You must have had me in mind when you wrote this - we have just been discussing how in order for me to be stress free at home I need it to be tidy.

Petty, I am the same way. When my children were smaller (especially when I had four children under 5 and the older two weren't much bigger) I had to relax my standards a lot, and learn to live with messes. It never really set well with me, and now that my youngest is seven, I find my stress level is directly related to the level of tidiness around me. I did not intend for it to happen, it is just who I am! It is something I must work on.
Thanks for visiting!

I am so much more at peace when my home is in order. Speaking of which, I do have some decluttering to do.

Hi Lily,

It is a wonderful way to remind yourself to pray without ceasing. I'll probably have to get one of those flameless candles that flicker like a real one though, since I have 3 cats and one of them in particular likes to knock things over! lol

I also stopped by to let you know.....

I've given you an Award! Please stop by at my blog for the details!

Lily,

You have expressed this challenge so beautifully.. Peace is so much more than having an organized, tidy home. Praying along side you for peace to fill our homes and hearts...

Blessings,
